J. Harmon Home Team would like to congratulate Dexter O’Neal on being awarded our September Hero of the Month award.
His nomination reads: Nominating Dexter simply because he is a hero for those who most need a hero. He gives beyond measure when no one is looking or even really realizes his warm open and caring spirit. He is a main stay in the Nourish world touching the lives of so many that have no one who really even cares about him. He manages the hub of distribution, balances driving to and from too many little nooks and crannies where people are so overlooked or have no way of getting basic food for survival. The episode that Jonathan did with Ladawna an Norman when the Story was shared about the elderly man that had no one but his dog. Dexter surrounded the gentle man with love, support and made him feel worthy in his later years of life when there was no one. He loves this fellow and his dog. Since the gentleman pass in away only recently Dexter has taken his dog into his family now . He is always ready to step up quietly and help other. He loves his family, has three young children and loves to share about them. He cares for the volunteers making sure of their safety and comfort. To top it off when the floods destroyed Waverly, he took in a family with three or four children into his home until their home could be rebuilt from the ground up. Who helped rebuild, yes Dexter after work and all through the weekends. He never stops giving off his heart to help others. A very quiet and unnoticed Hero. He doesn’t brag or boost just love and gives.
