J. Harmon Home Team would like to congratulate Coach Robert Garner, of LaVergne Middle School, on being awarded our January 2024 Teacher of the Month award.
His nomination reads: Coach Garner has been at LaVergne Middle School for 11 years. He serves as our PE teacher, Coach, and RTI-B School-level Coordinator. Coach Garner almost lives at LMS! He serves WAY MORE hours than are required preparing lessons and practice plans, mowing fields, keeping in contact with parents and checking his players’ grades and behavior -even after their seasons are finished. Coach Garner is not just a teacher; he is a mentor, and he truly embodies the spirit of LMS!!
