| I had an issue to deal with at the bank this morning. Went in kinda peeved and talked with a friend of mine that manages the branch. It was, ultimately, a communication error that broke down on my side, not theirs. She made it right and it only “wasted” 30 minutes of my day. I told her it was aggravating but thanked her for taking care of it. She was all smiles (and I was smiling too) as I left. She was probably smiling because I was leaving, lol. Anyway, as I left, she said, “I hope this is the worst thing that happens to you today.” I stopped. How powerful of a sentence that was. I needed to hear it. I was aggravated and needed to calm down as I had a lot more to do. That was exactly the right thing for me to hear. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the worst thing but still. What a great way to say, “see ya later.” So whatever junk you have dealt with today, I hope it is the worst you deal with this week. And everything else looks up. Thanks Heather. You rock. |
