It’s summer time and who doesn’t love a nice festive outdoor space to enjoy the summer events with your friends and family?! I have a few decorating tips and crafts to surely make everyone feel the season!
Now that everyone will be outside to enjoy the weather, make sure to clean off all your outdoor furniture and replace any ripped, faded or deteriorating pillows and cushions. Nice crisp colors on your patio furniture really does make a space feel so much more inviting!
Here are a few crafts to try with bandanas that will surely bring in all the summer feels!
-Bandana Seat Cushions: Measure the seat of the chairs you wish to cover and cut 1-inch-thick upholstery foam to size. Cut two bandanas to size. Sew bandanas together, leaving an opening large enough to slip foam through. Turn right side out, insert foam, and sew opening closed. Sew ribbon or strips of bandana to the back corners of the cushions for tying to the chairs.
-Bandana-Covered Pots: Use Mod Podge to attach a bandana to the outside. Add soil and flowers of desired-size clay pots, folding fabric one inch over the top rim and cutting off extra fabric as needed.
-Bandana Tablecloth: Line up the bandanas right sides together and sew along the edge using a 1/4 inch seam allowance. Sew all the bandanas together in a row and then sew the rows together.
