We were honored to recognize someone with a true can-do attitude. Candy Strombeck leads the team at Fresenius Kidney Care in Murfreesboro. Wait till you read her story!
Like many healthcare workers, 2020 was a huge struggle and provided many opportunities to adapt to our current world while still providing excellent care to our patients. During the midst of the Pandemic, our clinic flooded, and we were unable to provide care in our clinic for almost 2 months. Candy put on her incredible leadership hat and ensured each and every single one of our patients received the same care they would have received if our clinic doors were opened, and we never turned a new patient away. We were able to utilize additional clinics as needed for training and follow-up with our home therapies patients. Her leadership shined during this time, but honestly with Candy, her leadership skills are always on display and she knows how to develop and formulate a group to provide excellent care to those are in need. While our clinic was flooded, our standard of care was never lost, and we were quickly on the rise to a top performing clinic within Middle Tennessee.
She allows her team to operate at the top level of independence while providing excellent guidance and structure. There is no job in the clinic Candy won’t perform and she allows each team member to feel honored and valued. I honestly can’t sing her praises enough. The mold was broken when Candy was born, and she is an excellent example of a great leader and healthcare professional. She always puts her patients first and ensures their safety, well-being, and livelihood are never sacrificed.
