Celebrate Christmas Downtown – Murfreesboro Square

Gather around the historic Rutherford County Courthouse, for the annual lighting of the Rutherford County Christmas tree presented by Middle TN Electric. Bring your family downtown for dinner, the fun starts at 6:00pm with FREE activities for children and carriage rides. Stage performances begin at 6:30pm to include Santa lighting the tree. Santa goes into the courthouse for free photos from 7:30- 8:30pm, with continued activities and entertainment outside.

50th Annual Smyrna Christmas Parade – N Lowry St, Downtown Smyrna.

Join us in celebrating the cherished tradition of the Town of Smyrna’s annual Christmas Parade! The 50th annual Town of Smyrna Christmas Parade and Food Drive will begin at the intersection of S. Lowry St. and the corner of Mayfield Dr. and end at Nolan Dr.

Battle of Stones River 163rd Anniversary Living History Event- Stones River National Battlefield  (315 John Rice Blvd, 37129

The sights and sounds of combat will echo across the battlefield as living historians present musket and cannon firing demonstrations. In between the firings, rangers will explore the Battle of Stones River using accounts from soldiers in several units who fought here 163 years ago.

Boro New Year’s Eve Party – The Walnut House (116 N Walnut St, 37130)

It’s back! Our 5th Annual New Year’s Eve party to remember. First floor offers a red carpet greeting, photo opportunities and several casino games for you to enjoy (all just for fun, of course)! On the second floor is the dance floor! At 10 pm, or midnight in Puerto Rico, celebration ONE with streamers. Then at 11 pm, midnight in New York City, celebration TWO with confetti. And at midnight in Murfreesboro, ring in the new year with a balloon drop and fireworks all around you.
